A Dragon, a Unicorn, and a Dinosaur (a very short story)

Dragon, unicorn, and dinosaur at nativity scene, worshiping baby Jesus

This was supposed to publish yesterday (Christmas), but WIX does strange things at times, and it didn't.

A dragon, a unicorn, and a dinosaur walked into a bar. The bartender said, "We don't serve your kind here! Or yours! Or..." WHOOSH! The dragon set fire to the expensive Scotches. "Okay! Okay! What do you want?" the bartender yelled, turning the spritzer onto the conflagration.

"We just want to know where the baby Jesus is," the unicorn said. "We came to the big star, and it was here."

"Three doors down. Brightest inn in town right now. Stable out back. Just look for the sober shepherds."

"Thanks," said the dinosaur.

"And don't hurry back!" the bartender yelled, dumping the last of the melted broken glass into the recycling bin.

The dragon looked back and a familiar rumbling noise escaped his snout. The bartender dove behind the bar and didn't come out until he heard the door slam shut.

"What's so hard about peace, love, and understanding?" the unicorn asked.

"Oh, *that* star," the dinosaur replied. He looked back at the Shofar Star Bar. "We should have known."

No one at the stable minded at all that "their kinds" had come.

Merry Christmas, y'all!
